Fundraising Letter:(A Thank You Letter sent out to current supporters of the ministry, but also asking for more help.) Dear Faithful TFH Supporter, Whether or not you use the word “recession,” everyone feels the pinch these days. You know it at the gas pump, you see it at the grocery store. While a depressed economy affects everyone, no one feels the pain more than low-income families and those who live on the streets. Take Lin*, for instance. She came to us for help after violence shattered her dreams for “happily ever after.” In broken English, Lin related her story of the heartache of traveling from China to the United States to marry her fiancé. When that relationship turned violent, Lin and her daughter had to flee the situation that threatened their lives. On their own, and owning nothing, TFH gave them food, furnishings, house wares and hope. The family was so touched and changed by the help they received at TFH, Lin’s daughter has become a regular volunteer at the Storehouse! That’s why we’re asking for your help again. While we don’t say thank you often enough—we couldn’t do what we do without you. Thank you for all you’ve done to help us feed and clothe homeless and low-income families in Clackamas County and beyond. Your help makes a world of difference to those who might not otherwise receive a fresh meal, a clean pair of socks, a hot shower, or the love and support they need to make it through another day. If you’re not already a monthly supporter, would you prayerfully consider it? We need partners like you that we can depend on—it’s what keeps the ministry running. Monthly supporters are the backbone of our finances and help us stay in the trenches doing what we do best—being the hands and feet of Jesus to the ‘least of these’. We know times are tougher for just about everyone these days and understand if you’re not in a position to commit to a monthly gift. If that’s the case, would you consider a one-time gift to help us bridge the gap for the most needy? A gift of $100 would help feed four families, $60 could help a family keep their electricity on, $20 would buy a sleeping bag for someone sleeping out on the streets, even a gift of $5 would give 2 homeless folks a fresh, nutritious meal. Whatever you can give will help. May God abundantly bless your generosity. And thank you again for your help. We really couldn’t do it without you.
May Jesus bless you,
Teri Gant
